Review on 🎙️ RCA RP5120 256MB USB Digital Voice Recorder with 104 Hours of Recording Capacity by Eric Dailey

I bought three of these units with two channel wireless microphones for my local history club to help with oral history telling. For this purpose, the recorder works very well with my rather expensive two-channel Azden camcorder microphone system. To date I have not found a compatible dual channel microphone system at a price I would be willing to sacrifice three for. I am still searching. As for the PD5120 itself, I have three caveats that have kept me from giving a full five stars: 1. The user manual is printed so small that even sighted people cannot read it.2. An internet search turned up no downloadable manual that could be read by zooming in on a computer screen. This seems to have worried other buyers, as a number of email inquiries have circulated asking if anyone knows where such a manual can be found. Due to a slight macular degeneration, I am not a "seeing" person. Reading from a tiny screen, even with a magnifying glass, is next to impossible for me. This is of course a problem not unique to the 5120. In the competition for sales, ALL manufacturers seem to think less is more. Difficult for older people like me. I bought the 5120 because it had fewer control options, fewer buttons to learn to press, etc. I'd still like to find something even simpler for uninitiated volunteers to use this device. . If anyone knows of a digital recorder that has just a folder of files, only play, pause and stop to control, plus an external mic input jack, a headphone jack, and possibly a USB port to quickly load the recording, I'd appreciate knowing about it . In relation to that, I think the 5120 was a good buy for the money.
