I needed a nice robe that was lightweight, and 100% cotton that would be well-suited for Florida weather. I really don't use a robe on a daily basis, but I'm going to live with my folks as their caretaker, and since I really like watching late night TV in my PJ's, I knew I wasn't going to be comfortable being braless in PJ's around my dad. After trying on several other robes by other vendors and returned them all, I finally fell in love with this brand! I'm 5' tall, and 190 lbs, and I wanted a big, roomy robe with a lot of front overlap, like an oversized wrap-coat-kinda look. I tried on the plus size 2X; it was a little long beyond my knees and gave me enough front overlap, but the sleeves were a tad bit long, coming to above my wrist, longer than I wanted, but wearable. But then, I tried the missy-regular size XXL and, BINGO! Better fit! This size hits just at my knees, the sleeves hit a little beyond my elbows, and had the room of the overlap just like the plus size 2X, and had enough sash to go around me and I can tie into a bow, nonetheless! So, now, if I was lounging around the house in my easy loungewear without a bra on, I would at least have the robe overlap to give me that extra cover when I watch TV with my elderly parents. I hate to be out of place, even though it's just my mom n dad!
