I bought this about a year ago and am glad I did. I use it to weigh my tea leaves for my daily 2 cups of tea. This might seem like a crazy expense for a maker. However, I buy relatively expensive tea and don't like to waste it. If I make the cup too weak I throw it away (money is lost) and if I make the cup too strong I pour most of it down the drain and add water. I don't like tea unless it has milk and honey in it, and I don't taste it until they're in the cup. Cheaper to weigh the leaves for my perfect cup of tea. Also, I'm a lot less upset when I know I'm going to have a cup of tea that I like. (I know, a first world problem. I'm a liberal and I hope I'm not a dump either.)
