Overall I'm happy - initially it didn't fit perfectly on the bottom of my MacBook Air 2020 (only 2 corners snapped in even with more pressure applied as I was comfortable), but after a few weeks the plastic "relaxed" enough to fully snap into place! It's a hard plastic that isn't soft to the touch and is slightly textured which can make the color look a little uneven, but it looks like it'll last! The laptop hasn't been dropped yet, so I can't comment on protection. But it gets the job done for everyday use - basically adding bright colors and potentially extra protection.
