Purchased to reverse engineer complex vehicle geometry that I was unable to remove from the vehicle. I was very skeptical about this device due to lack of technical reviews. In this price range I am very satisfied with the results. I'd say an accuracy of 0.3mm is pretty optimistic, but my test details were all black and shiny, so it's difficult for this type of scanner to capture them. Accuracy was good enough to find screw holes with the accuracy I was looking for. For black and shiny details, a foot powder spray or liquid makeup is essential. The software is acceptable, but the documentation is rather poor. The Revopoint forum has some good technical advice from its staff. MacOS doesn't have USB support and the Wi-Fi setup is EXTREMELY technical but works well. In fact, macOS worked BETTER over Wi-Fi than USB on my faster Windows machine. It's worth downloading Meshlab if you need more customization options in the mesh creation process.
