Great friend of the Riverpoint POP Scaler 3G with many programs that are worse or more usable and a great support option, well organized, not heavy, it can be used really well, it can be a gift. It was one of the best gifts for my little brother who is actually studying 3G at university and is very happy although everything works.

Purchased to reverse engineer complex vehicle geometry that I was unable to remove from the vehicle. I was very skeptical about this device due to lack of technical reviews. In this price range I am very satisfied with the results. I'd say an accuracy of 0.3mm is pretty optimistic, but my test details were all black and shiny, so it's difficult for this type of scanner to capture them. I love this 3D scanner. It's easy to use and works just like some other very expensive models. He's fast too. Tons of support through their website and lots of tutorials. This device is portable and you can take it anywhere. Very happy with the quality and it appears to be made of durable material. I contacted support and they responded within 24 hours. This is good if you want to scan small objects and maybe your face. I need a tool to reverse engineer parts or create custom car parts. I was really hoping this thing would be able to properly scan surfaces like the door panel, hood, or fender, but it doesn't. I tried to scan my Jeep's rear fender which is a light beige color and it stays dirty so it's as matte as possible and the result was really disappointing. I was very happy I bought this scanner for my 3D shop and found this scanner to work great after watching the promotional video. I am having some serious problems with this scanner.1. The software freezes and freezes every time I use it. It's really annoying and wastes my time.2. The scanner doesn't capture all the details like in their commercial. not even close! it gets worse when you try to scan in color mode.

My first attempt at scanning polyester socks with the RevoPoint scanner. Scanning is great, now I need to find a workflow that will make it easier and faster. I'm thinking of some kind of track to guide the scanner around the object combined with a rotating platform. This scan was performed using a model on a rotating platform and a scanner on a makeshift lifting platform. Will keep experimenting. The goal is to be as fast or even faster than scanning with my handheld laser scanner.

Just did my first test and I love it! It definitely doesn't offer the resolution of a huge/expensive industrial scanner, but perfect for users like me who are on a budget but still expect a certain level of quality!
