Not good. - Scanners and Accessories

This is good if you want to scan small objects and maybe your face. I need a tool to reverse engineer parts or create custom car parts. I was really hoping this thing would be able to properly scan surfaces like the door panel, hood, or fender, but it doesn't. I tried to scan my Jeep's rear fender which is a light beige color and it stays dirty so it's as matte as possible and the result was really disappointing. I tried it a few times with different settings but couldn't get a clean surface or anything to work with, it kind of couldn't track the model. I probably expected too much for $500, but after scanning with an iPhone 12 Pro I hoped this thing would perform better, but it didn't. (I've had much better results scanning surfaces with the iPhone 12, I'm just not good if you want to scan large objects.) Hopefully one day they'll make those 10k 3D scanners more affordable, but we're not there yet !
