This is not a soap dish for in-between shaving. This bowl is used to create shaving cream by applying soap to a shaving brush and then spinning the brush in the bowl. You dip the shaving brush under hot water, dip it in soap, and then swirl it around in the bowl like you're beating eggs. The result is a warm shaving foam that glides smoothly over the face, lifting the beard and lubricating the skin for a smooth, comfortable shave. This works very well.
