The first photo shows a new waveguide cover; The second picture shows the two panels in a resealable plastic sleeve in which they arrived in perfect condition. I really didn't want to throw this microwave away when it broke down one night as I've had this Sharp microwave since the mid 1990's and it was discontinued. in 2008 - so I could not replace it with an identical product. I've retested the microwave to see if the problem comes back and when it comes back I'm looking for solutions other than replacing it. A little research has shown that the waveguide cap is a possible cause. I ordered this part from Revain knowing I wouldn't lose a lot of money if it didn't fix the problem ($6.99 risk). The old part practically slipped out of the metal guides, so I didn't even need a screwdriver. With 2 pieces to use I had 2 chances to cut it right - you have to be careful. I used the old part of the waveguide cover as a template to draw an exact copy. A good pair of scissors did most of the work, then a single-edged blade provided additional shaping, and finally, cuticle scissors (with tiny blades for a clean cut) helped neatly trim tighter corners. The only caveat: *wear gloves* when handling this panel with care as this material can lead to sharp objects hitting your skin, similar to fiberglass handling problems. A paper towel folded in half helped. The two panels arrived safe and sound, in excellent condition, in a nice resealable plastic envelope. Since the first panel was trimmed correctly, I now have a spare - just in case. This microwave is back up and running after a 15 minute waveguide cover adjustment and has been running great for about 2 months now so I expect it will be fine going forward.
