Review on Honeywell POPUP2400 Aprilaire Space Gard Replacement by Josue Porter

Purchased to replace the original Spacegard/Aprilaire 2400 filter with combs in my attic. I have to crawl through the army to get to the block and with the duct work I could barely get the original filter out of its groove in its plastic case. At first I foolishly thought Honeywell would fit in a plastic case. This showed me what it would be like to replace the original accordion filter and reinstall the combs. Not impossible, but a bit tedious. The Honeywell was good in my tight space because I could fold one or the other to fit. At first it didn't seem like it would slide on the center rails, but with some effort I got it right. started. There was another stumbling block in the middle of the filter that required some additional tweaking. As others have noted, this takes up less width than the original style filter. I suspect it has less filtering area, but the price and convenience make it worth it.
