I bought several different projectors to test and hopefully find one that works with my iPad. I couldn't get other projectors to work, but this one did. Compared to similar projectors, the image quality is much better, brighter and clearer. In comparison, the sound is similar. I've used this outside and inside, both with great results. Brighter projections let you start the evening a little earlier than with other projectors. I would recommend buying external speakers (computer speakers will do). I wish it was more portable than it is, but it's still a minor inconvenience. I would buy this again. In order for the projector to play content from the iPad TV app, you must first turn on the iPad and the projector, and then connect the cable to the iPad first and then to the projector. For some reason, this order of operations is very important.
