Review on ATP Automotive Graywerks 106001 Engine Intake Manifold: High-Performance Product for Enhanced Engine Efficiency by Tom Oberhue

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product except for the fuel injector o-rings

The product worked great although my problem was contrary to what most people said. I had a bottom intake gasket that failed and caused the problem. If you do all the work, be careful and replace the lower intake manifold gasket. GM uses cheap plastic washers that are engineered to resist failure so they can get you in the door and make money off you in their service department. It has been a known defect for many years and they have not done anything to fix it. This part was easy to replace compared to the bottom seal. You can watch Youtube videos to get the job done. The only really tricky part that nobody shows you how to fix is replacing and installing the fuel injector seals. This is the hardest part of the job and I ended up using my old pads because the new ones didn't fit. Because of this problem I gave this part 4 stars. I even tried putting oil on the pads and then petroleum jelly but to no avail. . Although there are no leaks. If you have the time, this will save you hundreds of dollars and GM monies they don't deserve for these shortcomings. All GM 3.8 liter engines have this problem from 1993 to 2006 or so. Just make sure when you get the job done use a cheap oil and filter and then after a couple of days drain it and then top up with good oil if all is ok. It's important to flush the bad out of the system.

Cons
