The Canon G16 exceeds everything you expect from a quality compact camera. I bought the G16 as a replacement for the G9 and it ticks all the boxes for shooting indoors, outdoors, low light, on the go, portraits, snapshots etc. I find it to be used best in situations where my DSLR is not available, needed or out of place and when traveling. The viewfinder is useful when you're shooting in very bright places and when someone else is taking a picture of me. Autofocus is fast even at maximum zoom. Aperture and shutter modes work well enough for a small camera. I have not installed or used the Wi-Fi feature, so my comments here do not reflect my experience with the feature. The size of the camera is not too small for my fingers and not too big for easy portability. The controls are intuitive and the menu system is simple and straightforward, so I don't have to spend time navigating through the many menu modes to use the camera's basic functions. Finally, I like how the G16 feels in hand and how it feels in hand compared to other cameras in its class.
