I've been letting my hair out for three now I've been growing for years and for the past six months I've struggled a lot with split ends and split ends. When I braided my hair at night, the ends free of the scrunchie seemed to get dry and strawy overnight. I tried on this silk hat hoping that it would keep my hair from breaking if I wore it overnight. I've been using it for about a week and I'm very happy with the results. End breakage has been reduced by about 90% and the ends of my hair look a lot less dry. It's very comfortable to wear and the elastic doesn't dig into my scalp or forehead (I wear a 7 1/4 beanie, tuck my beanie behind my ears and wear the top near my hairline, not on my forehead). I turned the cap inside out - the silk is woven in a satin weave, meaning one side is shinier and slippery than the other, and I wanted that side to touch my hair. Works well, just doesn't look very good. (Not that you could look great in a nightcap. I've told my husband I won't wear them again if he hates them, but he seems amused.) It's fairly comfortable to sleep in, and I a little picky dream book. Overall very good, especially for the price.
