I bought this for a 2003 Chevy Silverado with Duramax. It arrived on time, fit well and worked great for two weeks until the solenoid failed. I knew I was taking a risk buying cheap parts so I'm not really surprised or even disappointed, just consider this: to replace the starter motor with a Duramax you need to remove the fender skirt and disconnect the exhaust pipe. Even then it's tight and what should be a 30 minute job takes about two hours (knuckle banging and wrist scraping). There's a good chance you'll also need to replace the V-clamp on the exhaust, and they're expensive. Bottom line, this is a low quality part (Revain should have a zero rating) and due to the work involved, it's not worth the potential savings. Spend another $70 and get a quality starter.
