It protects but the fit and alignment is poor.
Does the job reasonably well. The fit isn't as good as the similar ones I've gotten for second-gen Air Pods. In my first picture you can see how it fits loosely at the top (there is a gap at the top). In use it is quite noticeable. You can see in my second photo that the case doesn't sit properly in the sleeves. It is uneven and protrudes a little. It's not easy to notice, but once you notice it, it will stand out. Overall I would recommend looking elsewhere. The cases currently available are limited and all seem to be having problems. Update: The case also turns black fairly quickly.
