Review on HORI Vita Remote Assist Attachment by Rob Dixon

Not for FFXV Remote Play

This grip works great and fits well leaving enough room to use the wrist straps if needed. Doesn't block any important ports on the device and fits comfortably in your hand. See photos of the connectors and the position of the bracelet. The handheld has a left and right hand strap. The illustration shows a right hand strap attached to a handheld device. The downside of this slider is that you can use the controls mapped to the positions while remote playback is running. That being said, it does NOT help with Final Fantasy 15 as it only uses touchscreen controls and not the rear touchpad. A little warning for anyone having troubles with FFXV Remote Play. It's easy to attach and remove when needed, works as advertised, and is aesthetically pleasing. The controller-style grip rests on flat surfaces without any buttons getting in the way, and accidental use of the trigger buttons is unlikely due to the way the grip is set up. The retaining clip opens and closes with a simple motion and features a position lock that locks when closed. The clip closes the game card connector when CLOSED but allows access to that connector when open. This grip is to be used ONLY as a grip with rear touchpad trigger adjustment buttons. - Does not fit in tote bags! It is not intended for use with travel bags or silicone cases. - Vita is not charged! It doesn't have a battery and there aren't any ports for connectors as it's just a stylus. - Only suitable for the 2000 model, also known as the Slim model. The name is program. - NOT SUITABLE FOR THE ORIGINAL (Phat) MODEL! It is specially designed for the Slim model and will most likely break if you try to install it on another model. No WiFi connection! It works with soft pads on the inside of the grip that transmit touch input to the console via the four buttons on it. Do not remove these four pads from the handle, otherwise it may not work at all. These warnings are for those who have purchased a PS Vita Slim 2000 model and are here as a friendly tip for those reading the reviews. I've played a few games myself with the grip installed and it works great with compatible games that use the rear touchpad. It doesn't support swipe gestures as it only acts as a button. I tested it myself and confirmed these details for other players. I only write reviews to help other buyers. I paid the same as any other buyer for this item.
