I didn't buy this for medication but as a simple lockable cabinet to house some network equipment in the garage. I had an electrician install an outlet in the box and connect a small 8-port network switch to it with a cable that threaded through the hole I cut in the back. It's great for this modified purpose and looks good too. The lock doesn't hold anyone who really wants in. When the door is closed, there is a significant gap that can easily be used to open the box. If you're looking for something very secure, this isn't it.
