Review on CRANKBROTHERs Pedal Stamp Small Black by Jarod Lacy

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Stamp 1 - Very Disappointed - AVOID AVOID AVOID

UPDATE January 2020 - BE AWARE and DO NOT be fooled by the high ratings for this list of pedals. It seems that the multi-star ratings mostly apply to other versions of Stamp and NOT Stamp 1. This review is for Stamp 1, which is complete rubbish. I am a long time cyclist and competed in the JAG World BMX event in Indy in 1979 (same year I believe). So maybe I know how to deal with some flat pedals. This is not good. I ride them with a 510. I bought these pedals from some reviews and rating sites that said they were concave. I don't know about other stamps, but stamp 1 is NOT concave at all. Don't buy if you don't want to feel like you're riding pine cones. There are no pins centered around the spindle. I'll find out later if I'm prone to slipping, but on a test ride you definitely get the feeling that the center axle is higher than the pins on the sides/front/rear. UPDATE: After a few rides on the Stamp 1 they are worse than expected. The leg becomes numb as the weight is ONLY on the central spindle. The paint is only rubbed off on the center spindle, the separator looks like new. They don't grip at all because the center spindle is flush with the top of the grip pins. This is complete GARBAGE.
