Had to replace a broken key with a 2006 RAV4 and it works great! Good quality! I read reviews that I had to go to the dealer is not true! They wanted $55, so that was enough motivation to find a way. The instructions below worked well. Had to do this a few times until I got the timing right and opened the door locked as advertised, it was programming mode. Several attempts but works great! 1. Start with the following conditions: You are driving. A. Ignition key removed b. Driver's door open (all other doors closed) c. Driver's door unlocked (other doors don't matter)2. Insert and remove the ignition key twice within 5 seconds.3. Close and open the driver's door twice within 40 seconds.4. Insert and remove the key from the ignition switch.5. Close and open the driver's door twice within 40 seconds.6. Put the key in the ignition switch.7. Close the door8. Turn the ignition on and then off.9. Remove the key from the ignition switch.10. The power locks should automatically operate once to indicate you have successfully entered programming mode.11. Within 40 seconds of entering programming mode. A. Press the transmitter lock and unlock buttons SIMULTANEOUSLY for 1 to 1.5 seconds. B. Within 3 seconds, press and release the transmitter lock button for more than 1 second. v. If the transmitter has been successfully learned, the switch-on lock works automatically once. If they are repeated twice, the remote control was not accepted. e. If you need to program multiple remote controls, repeat steps AC.12. Open the driver's door.
