I am in the hospital with my husband and the couch they provide for family members is really hard. My hips hurt after sleeping on my side after only an hour or two. I bought this mattress topper, folded it up and put it on the sofa. Now the "bed" is nice and comfortable and I sleep much better. I use it twice as thick, so can't comment on how I would normally do it, other than it's so fluffy that I imagine it would be comfortable on my queen bed, too. When folded it made a huge difference on that hard sofa!
