took up this hose when my transmission failed. I decided to replace the pump and all hoses as it is an old truck. Firstly, the threads on them are a nightmare to smooth and tighten, but really just an inconvenience (and one of the two gate hoses I ordered was missing an O-ring, I had to reuse a 13 year old factory hose). I jacked up the car, removed both front wheels and bled the system.
