Review on Maxell Cassette VHS C Adapter 290060 by Calvin Chavva

This is probably one of the easiest products you can buy - it either works or it doesn't. Except for me on this particular device, that somehow wasn't the case. It actually did the job of letting me pop in a very old VHS-C cassette and play it back on my Panasonic combo DVD/VHS recorder. It was recorded great on DVD which was the main reason for buying it. BUT it gave me fits trying to get it out of the car once it was done! It was certainly an unexpected mistake that at one point made me so nervous that I worried I would have to have it professionally removed. The body of this adapter is probably about 0, 001 to 0.002 thicker than a VHS tape and therefore hangs. to the insert/eject port of the recorder. I've never experienced this with literally thousands of inserts and ejects of VHS tapes in various machines I've owned. I only needed this adapter for a friend's VHS-C cassette. After transferring and possibly removing the adapter, I sent the DVD I made from it, along with the original VHS-C cassette and adapter, to a friend in hopes I'd never see it again. Maybe I had one that had to be rejected at the factory, or maybe they're all prone to such a malfunction. I do not know. It worked.
