My only complaint about these colors is that to get a little close to the photos in the listing you have to use them as a glaze on the top base coat, not alone. As long as a person understands this, he will be able to achieve excellent results. I made my patterns on both the black and white cards provided. They work much better on black. I applied a base coat of colored pencils and brush markers. Both effects worked well, but I haven't tried mixing them with other colors or with my Inktense Pencils, but I'll try; and I expect to be pleased with the results. I love the fact that these metallic paints come in a metal tray and come with a water brush. However, I found that the water brush released a lot of water. Perhaps these colors would be a better match for a standard brush if you want better fluid control and richer offline color. I'll do some more thorough testing. Those were my first insights. I really liked the black and white sample cards that came with this set as well as the water brush.
