I have some very specific things I'm looking for in short workouts. 1: Must have an inseam of 7-8 inches. 2. There must be no built-in liner. 3. Must be elastic. 4. Must have pockets. Believe it or not, it's very hard to find shorts that fit the bill. Most shorts with this inseam are considered running shorts by their manufacturer, meaning they have no pockets, no stretch, and are lined on the inside (all qualities that I think limit their functionality as general training shorts, while great for running). As an average height guy, I found that anything longer than 8 inches would catch on my knee during certain movements. The only other shorts that fit me are the Lululemon THE Short 7" which are also very good (although a little more expensive). I like the fabric of the Lululemon shorts better as they are a bit softer, but functionally they are better. almost identical Regarding the pockets on these shorts I actually like it better they are deep and keep items secure In addition to the two front pockets there is a side zip pocket which is a great addition to this short I found that this site the bag keeps my phone out of the way during workouts and i don't have to worry about sitting on it or accidentally hitting it with dumbbells or crushing it on the floor when i do floor workouts. The fabric is similar to yours would expect running shorts but with some built in elasticity that makes them more multifunctional. They are lightweight and absorb sweat very well. These shorts are elastic enough for ti efe squats and light exercises. and breathable enough for long cardio sessions. I wanted to test Mission's odor control claims, so I wore the shorts for three pretty tough workouts in a row (two leg workouts and one upper body workout, followed by 20-minute HIIT sprints). After three days of training straight and stuffed in the gym bag the nights in between, the smell was unquestionable and they didn't even wrinkle. Based on some other reviews these shorts can be very tight. With that in mind, I decided to order both medium and large to see which fits best. I'm quite a slim guy, I have above average legs and I've found that the average size fits me very well. I thought they fit perfectly and didn't find them too tight in the legs or back as some others have pointed out and will be returning the large ones. They appear to be very well made and I will update this review if they give me any quality issues after prolonged use. UPDATE: After almost 9 months of weekly use these shorts are holding up great and still have all the features I loved in my original March review. Still highly recommended! I'm ordering a few more!
