Review on La Sportiva Ultra Raptor Trail Running Shoe for Men by Scott Goff

Worn at Philmont Scout Ranch this year. Walked about 70 miles on fairly well groomed trails including many creek crossings and some rocky trail sections. I carried a base weight of 26 pounds. With food and water, my backpack typically weighed about 38 pounds. I was very happy with their fit and performance. Passed the route without blisters. They also felt very good when wet and dried quickly. When walking switchbacks with a sloping path (walking along the contour of a mountainside), I worried about lateral support. They performed well, although not as well as my Zamberlan 760 Steep GT hiking shoes.
