The Pelican Zenith Kayak was sold at Dick's Sporting so I bought 2. I found them not to track very well even on a calm lake with little wind . I bought these skegs based on positive reviews. They appear to be of good quality. I found the area of the keel closest to the stern that was the least curved (nearly flat) and sanded it with 100 grit sandpaper. I then scrubbed that area a couple of times, as well as the skeg's base plate Isopropyl alcohol to remove any debris and finger oil. I marked the area to place the skeg. You need to align it as close to dead center as possible or the boat will tilt a little to one side when not straight. I taped waterproof, double-sided outdoor foam tape to the skeg's baseplate and attached it to the surface of the kayak. It seems to be holding up very well and now the kayak moves much straighter when paddling and hardly ever shifts sideways when just standing still. I highly recommend this product.
