Review on Aisin WPS 007 Engine Water Pump by David Hayden

I just replaced the water pump on my aging 1997 Geo Metro, the engine kept overheating and found the water pump was bad. Oh boy! It was a tedious job to access the water pump, many parts to remove, the list includes: air cleaner cover, alternator, poly V-belt, crankshaft pulley, timing belt cover, roll pin, idler pulley and timing belt. The water pump fits perfectly, it comes with a gasket, however I chose the gasket manufacturer RTV because when removing the HP one of the bolts broke and I couldn't get it out. The week before I had flushed the cooling system with Thermocure Coolant System Rust Remover before starting this task as rust had built up in the engine over time. Overall I am happy with this product, time will tell how it holds up.
