Purchased in 2016. I've played with it mercilessly but I'm cleaning it because I like the color and I love it like it when it looks new. The color on the joysticks is still consistent. I bought it new. Buying new controllers from a brand is a safe bet. They're still doing well after nearly two years a month or so. I would do many full sessions 3-7 days a week, waking up and sleeping to play. You are still in very good shape. And I don't play them with Minecraft or any other low intensity game. I'm talking about Call of Duty, Battlefied (online public games) and even Kingdom Come Deliverance. After 8+ years of using an Xbox device, this has been my best investment in a controller. Maybe I got lucky, but don't settle for something that isn't new and/or branded.
