I liked them for 3 weeks after purchase and they really worked. Useful for remotely tracking boats and birds in the sea. Pretty well stabilized as the boat rolls. Then the red light started blinking constantly. Changed batteries, didn't help. Even with IS disabled, manual focus is not possible. A flashing red light shows "Problem: Do not use, return TECHNO-STABI to Fujinon. I was very wary of these binoculars given that they are now $1000 and now $1299. Error when calling a real person in Fuji. I emailed them and they advised me to box it up and ship it to New Jersey to have it checked for damage and then they will fix it if they think it's under warranty. You must also enclose a check for $20 to pay for the return shipping. I really liked the binoculars and just want a replacement so I tried using the replacement option provided by Revain but after they filled out the replacement form they advised me not to replace it. Luckily, Revane lets me get him back. I hope this is helpful for those wondering what happens when you buy a faulty device.
