This product is very well made and definitely high quality. There is some type of string material inlaid in the aluminum base that prevents overstressing and breaking. I found this very helpful with the installation considering I have walked on it and kneeled on it. I've never had a problem with the adhesive tearing. So make sure you know where to put it as you won't be able to pick it up without breaking the foam. I use it to insulate the cardan tunnel and the entire floor of my car, now my carpet doesn't radiate any heat at all. The backing paper was difficult to remove at first, but I took the roll to the driveway and unwrapped it completely with the paper side. face in the sun, and after 20 minutes the glue was soft enough to easily peel off the entire paperback. Therefore, if you have trouble peeling the paper, simply roll it up and pull gently as the paper tears easily.
