Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 195/60 R15 88T winter by Adam Czajkowski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

I took it for snow and ice for rare weekend trips outside the city, so I chose an almost transverse pattern for better grip in the snow and was ready for howling treads. I also liked the unusual shape of the spikes (I have not yet been able to evaluate them in action, though) and the adequate price for a global brand and production in Poland. On the pavement, it still howls and buzzes, and also roars, i. E. the steering wheel has to be constantly adjusted (it is necessary to run it in, as recommended), then write, but for now the howl starts at 60-70 km / h, then it turns into a rumble. The rumble subsides by 100-120 (apparently, it goes back). This is not a howl and rumble of studs (as some people who have stepped on studded tires for the first time write), but a tread - there is experience in using different rubber. Let's wait 500 km and listen! A month later, we managed to evaluate the grip on packed snow - it does not slip and slows down. It does not go into a side skid when turning. There is no rumble in the snow at all. Haven't had a chance to test it on ice yet. I will write you later.

Pros
  • I liked the pattern, unusual spikes, price, made in Poland
Cons
  • Buzzing and howling, prowling on the pavement
