I know there is a risk of fire every time you handle candles, but these plastic cups give me a little concern every time I light one of mine homemade candles now because I already have a few cups on fire! I make tea lights (I've made hundreds of them) and I light a candle and every once in a while the plastic cup catches fire and melts and catches fire and it smells awful and it's a little scary to be honest. Never leave them unattended, if possible get metal cups. However, the vast majority of my candles are fine, and you get decent jars for your money, so you'll have to weigh the pros and cons for yourself.
