I have a 2 year old, 3 year old and a feral cat so my house can get messy. I bought an upholstery cleaner which is more of a hassle and does little to eliminate odors. I broke down and started taking the couches apart and cleaning them in the washing machine. But I only want to do this once a month so this is great between washes for spills and weird baby smells. I've also used it on a car floor that is a carpet and it also cleaned up spilled milk. As an experimenter, I gradually began using it on my wood floor and tile, then on my wood furniture and granite countertop. This material can be used anywhere, but due to the high cost, I'll probably continue to use it just for padding and quick cleaning of spills on hardwood floors. The smell is also light and pleasant. Not very strong but a good clean scent.
