"Precision-machined work surfaces for increased precision; deep-etched blades for long-term readability." Wrong! Etchings are barely perceptible. I still have my original blue plastic and Stanley steel combination from almost forty years ago. It is eventually removed because it no longer stretches and holds properly and is too short. Etching on it goes much deeper than on a new one.
