I only use this for my desk (no DJ, I don't see any difference between DJ Shadow and Celine Dion). I have a MacBook Pro 17" (2009 ). Works very well, stable. In my opinion, it beats many models in terms of price and adjustability. I have an mStand laptop stand in the office and have used other products before. But I like this one a lot more. The option, the height to change is really fantastic (for some this can be an issue requiring basic disassembly and reassembly) The material feels very durable (metal) I was also concerned that it would shake on a laptop this heavy which is not the case.I've found that you can increase the support by folding out the laptop tray legs and poles (they are facing inwards by default during assembly). You can also lower the height even further this way. Mind you, I find this stand raises the height of the laptop higher than most office laptop stands, but it works well for my height (6.2).
