Trying to find a budget keyboard here is incredibly difficult and horribly time consuming with too many options from brands I've never heard of so after buying a huge one had number of options to iterate over. I was looking at a wired mouse that I have used for many years as it has never had any problems and it was Kensington. So, the Kensington branded keyboard is what I was looking for and I have no regrets. .not yet, at least since I've been using it for a little over a week. This is now my main keyboard for my docked laptop, which has been converted into a pseudo "desktop" by docking. lots of desk space), it's like using a laptop keyboard. What I like: * No multimedia keyboard! So there are no weird keys that I would never use when accidentally pressed. It's more like a small business-style wired keyboard.* Wired, no batteries to charge or replace, and no connection or line-of-sight issues.* Easy-to-read white letters.* No free USB connection (for USB 2.0 mice and keyboard) , resulting in disconnect and reconnect problems if the USB cable is accidentally kinked. That's very good, I don't have to open the laptop lid anymore. * Sturdy plastic construction with some actual weight so it doesn't feel cheap, which corresponds to the regular list price of just over $38. I paid $22.99. . I think for 30€ or less it's worth it! How it can be improved (even if it increases the price): * Mentally more. * Backlight. * Built-in palm rest (or detachable) * More adjustments for carrying straps.
