Review on ๐ŸŽฝ CAMO Outdoor Carrier Vest for Tactical Use by Matt Weber

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very reasonably priced but stupid fitting the straps out of the box

As mentioned in another review the straps were in a most incomprehensible, inefficient, over complicated unstable way when they came out the box. Why? Whoever packaged it chose to fold the velcro straps and then for some reason wrapped the whole thing in equally unstable shoulder pads. This made this body armor very vulnerable to weakening if you put a lot of weight on it. I glued a small computer backpack on the back and put the SAPI training plates in the holder and you know what, the moment I put this backpack on the shoulder straps it detached itself and became a hip belt ๐Ÿคฃ . Actually it was quite funny. I ended up doing a very simple 30 second fix. I unfolded the shoulder straps, undid the velcro, just layered them and adjusted to the size that worked for me, and voila, I now have a good pair of 8 inch velcro straps that hold the entire body armor securely to my body and the entire rig. extremely comfortable due to the sheer amount of material used in the padding at every point of contact on my body. Now my question is: Yakeda went to the trouble of making a record stand that is very comfortable, has great strength for the price, and has enough room to scale it into a combat load, but doesn't have the fxxking shoulder straps right up there set from the start? Just why are you guys๐Ÿคฃ. In any case, my tirade is over and my overall experience with literally every other aspect of this vest has been nothing but pleasant. It meets my current needs while being modular enough to change anything. Yakeda has definitely gained a loyal customer. Just don't forget to fasten her shoulder straps *$^#&#(%^@+1ร—+!*Oh, and by the way, for anyone wondering about height, I'm 5'10", 210 lbs. This body armor fits me perfectly.
