Great on basement concrete floors too.

I have my home office in our basement and the floors are painted concrete but the paint is chipping and lifting and it gets stuck in the wheels of my chair and feels terrible underfoot. So, I got several of these mats to cover the more traversed areas of the office. It makes it easier to clean the floor, keeps paint chips out of my wheels and the chairs can glide smoothly over them. However, they do have a tendency to move a little as the chair rolls over them.

Pros

Thought is was going to the stiff matt's, it soft and works great on my tile floor.

Cons

May not be as aesthetically pleasing as other types of floor mats, detracting from office decor

This is recommended for hardwood floors. I have it on a very flat, commercial grade carpet and it still slips. I''m constantly readjusting it as it moves itself around. The lip to go under the knee hole is just a tiny bit too narrow to stay in place. I would think the opening under most desks is a standard width, so making the lip the proper size to slip under the sides of the desk and stay in place would so much better. As it is, It comes out and the whole mat proceeds to buckle on the other side. Not nearly as sturdy a mat as others I''ve had either. There are better options out there.
