There's a lot to love about this flashlight, but a few critical flaws make it difficult to use. I like the color temperature, it's perfect for fish and plants. The unobtrusive, flat design is simple and elegant. It looks like it's floating above the tank. The dimmer is a nice bonus but not essential. I also appreciate that there are no apps, no frills, no fuss. only light. However, installing the light on the tank is cumbersome. The mount is difficult to balance and you need a screwdriver to turn TWO screws each time you want to adjust it. It's terrible. Like a drunk elephant on roller skates, you have to balance wires and bolts and wobbly, unbalanced ballast just to move the damn thing an inch. However, the absolute violation of the rules is the fact that the lantern holder lets water through. my tank like niagara falls. Do not purchase this device if your tank's water level matches the mounting bracket, otherwise prepare for a flood. Check out some of the review photos. Most of them have low water levels and are therefore happy. You've probably noticed that it's expensive too. Is it worth? May be. If the stars are right and you have everything set up correctly, with the right tank, the perfect aquascape, a tiny screwdriver in your pocket and some old money to burn, yes. then it's worth it, because it's definitely nice if you can make it happy.
