Different pros: The Sony Alpha A6000 was purchased for reasons of travel convenience: light weight (about 350g) and small dimensions made it easy to transport and quickly use the camera. Compared to the old DSLR (D90), for which a separate photo backpack was allocated, for me this was an important selection criterion. In ergonomics, I liked the presence of a control wheel, it is easy and convenient to navigate through the captured photos / videos, and control frame correction during shooting. The assembly of the camera meets expectations: there are no backlashes, no squeaks, a comfortable grip, also thanks to the rubberized surface. Shots taken using a high quality kit lens (16-50mm f/3.5-5.6). I liked the tracking autofocus mode, burst shooting speed (11 frames per second), “smoothed” shots in contrasting scenes. In terms of the functional part, the pluses include a wide range of settings and convenient menu navigation - despite the fact that there is no touchscreen. Along with the traditional modes, you can apply creative styles and artistic effects, which is also a plus. Separately, I liked the ability to adjust the brightness, temperature and color intensity in intelligent auto modes. High-quality video shooting, you can not take a video camera with you if, along with photos, there is a need to shoot small videos. Has cons: When buying, I was worried about the duration of battery life, the LCD screen traditionally eats up a lot of charge. Model A6000 attracted by the presence of a viewfinder, when using which the LCD screen automatically turns off. I took two spare batteries for the trip. In fact, it turned out that in one day, relatively active shooting, 2 fully charged batteries were spent. On a DSLR, I rarely remembered about the next charge, but with alpha I still have to think about saving battery consumption. Perhaps this is the main and inevitable disadvantage of this class of cameras. The disadvantages also include a noticeable heating of the camera during a long series of video shootings. In fact, overheating did not occur, but attention had to be paid to the temperature of the case. Separately, I had to get used to the video shooting button - its location is not the most convenient and somewhat “tight” pressing. I wish it included an external charger instead of charging directly through the camera (but that's a matter of preference).
