They run SMALL: my feedback

I absolutely love the Martingale collars, this one is extremely well made. The loop doesn’t ‘hang’ like most of them do and the tighter/double stitching on it does NOT hinder the ‘stopping’ or slipping out capabilities of the collar. My corgi knows this all too well. He has been able to slip out of every regular collar due to head/neck/ears proportional issue they have lolI ordered a small after I tripled measured midget boys (yogi) neck with a tailor’s measuring tape (soft/flexible one aka sewing tape measure), measured at 13.5”, the small martingale state’s maximum 15”, I have the collar ‘maxed out’ and it does for over his noggin and those ears, isn’t tight fitting BUT it is a little snug for my liking, if he had super short hair, it may feel looser but I doubt it. The collar has no room for any more adjustment nor does it have any play in it whatsoever. It is snug enough that I’m honestly looking for another martingale for him.I have always used the martingale collars on my Huskies and other dogs, I have always adjusted them to where they were tight enough not to fall off their heads when they’d eat or what not and to where when they’d pull, the loop would pull the opposite sides of the collar together without any gap. They never failed to halt a 100+ pound Husky when a rabbit decides to take a stroll thru the yard or a deer two fields over or the glimpse of something in their imagination that they decide they’re gonna run full force after 🤨.Now, cables have failed, leashes have failed, my body parts have dislocated and failed, but never the collars 😂

Pros
  • Dazzber
Cons
  • The collar may not be suitable for dogs with shorter hair due to its silky texture
