This beautiful lightweight scarf is perfect for autumn. The scarf is small but can be worn as a headscarf or tied in a variety of ways as a neckerchief. It looks great wrapped around a ponytail holder or a handbag. The design features vintage vehicles - horses and carriages, balloons, ships, airplanes, vintage cars - in dark colors against a beautiful background of orange and pink sunsets. A floral pattern in dark green and gray tones runs along the edges and everything is surrounded by a black border. Fabric made of very fine natural silk (100% silk is indicated on the sewn-on label), very narrow hem with a beautiful finish. The fabric is lightweight (14 momme) and smooth, with the sheen that silk is famous for. The product description says this scarf is hand washable, but the care label recommends dry cleaning only. I have had great luck hand washing my silk carefully in cold water with baby shampoo and hanging in the sun to dry. This well-made scarf is well worth its current price of $21.99.
