Review on Scotch-Brite Advanced Soap Control Dishwand Brush: Leak-Free, Antibacterial, Long Lasting, and Reusable - Guaranteed Efficiency! by Rob Rogers

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not bad but for a soap button

The whole point of paying extra for this product not only to replace the buttons but also to donate soap. Now I've had plenty of time to actually test the product compared to people reviewing it within a week or so of purchase (which has to be as short as the product's QA is). I bought this about 9 months ago and while I understand it won't last forever it should at least work better while still using my first pack of sponge and brush heads. So what's wrong? All in all, it's good in terms of both grippy and ergonomic ratings, but the soap button is just a rubber membrane that softens and stretches. The more you press, the more the button loosens and stretches. And when it stretches, you have to push even harder and deeper into the membrane to create enough pressure in the soap cavity to actually push the soap out. First, if you keep the soap cavity very full, less pressure is required to extract the soap. Secondly, diluting the soap about 1/3 with water also makes it easier to squeeze out. Bottom line, it's too much money for the lifespan you get out of it - they encourage wand reusability, just replace the cleaning heads, but it really doesn't hold up with a bad rubber membrane button on the wand. Looks like their QA didn't have enough time to realize that. or Scotch-Bright wasn't. I'm sorry but just saying honestly what I think is a decent and appropriate time to give a quality review.
