then you probably won't be too disappointed. It's

Let's face it folks, it doesn't have to be some magic hot dog maker making baseball style sausages for $10. If you don't believe it and think you can serve up magical gourmet food then you might not be too disappointed. After all, it's just a toaster that can hold a hot dog and a bun. That's all. In this respect, one should automatically assume that homemade or baked rolls do not work here. No, you can't put sausage in here, and I don't know why you thought you could. If you focus on the real facts about this device, you'll see the following: 1. The parts of the bun that come into contact with the metal inside the toaster turn black. There is a slot in the metal of the inside of the bun through which the inside of the bun is toasted. This will make the bun nice and warm on the inside, but won't leave any toasty spots. The parts of the bun that will be marked are the parts that touch the inside of that metal; especially the top of the bun itself. You can adjust the heat settings so that part of the bun doesn't turn black, but the overall cooking of the hot dog will suffer. Regular hot dogs and bun-length hot dogs will do here, but no more. Add in cheese-stuffed hot dogs and you've got a mess on the floor. Removing the parts for cleaning is easy, but using this appliance to cook these hot dogs is a bit of a hassle.3. When choosing the length of Nathan's buns or hot dogs, you must either turn the hot dog upside down after the original time or put an extra time on. If you cook these types of hot dogs on level 5, you will have a very hot and marked bottom of the hot dog and a warm, unmarked top. I found that 2 cycles of tuning 3 with rotating in between worked best. **For this method, only bake the bun for 1 cycle4. The last and most important fact about this device is that cooking just one or three hot dogs causes mild irritation. Not that it can't, but the metal hot dog inserts themselves are only balanced when cooking 2 hot dogs at the same time. So if you only want to cook 1 or 3 hot dogs, no matter how careful you are, one of the hot dogs will be unbalanced and lean. While this doesn't directly affect the performance of the machine, it does affect the portion of the tilted hot dog that is in contact with the metal insert. You will hear a hiss and/or some smoke. Because of this, this part will now cook a little differently than the rest of the hot dog. Toaster. If you plan on using this on a semi-regular basis I would advise you to just buy a toaster as it does exactly the same thing; plus give you a few more features that could at least take up some counter space. If you can get it for kids as a fun factor then it helps. You'll never admit it tastes worse because it looks attractive enough to claim the title of "best hot dog". Just don't expect to make the same claim, and you really don't mind.
