The woman hates, I love.

wife says it's a lot of money, I disagree, he frys the hot-do instead of boiling it, so the taste is much better. Easy to clean. It takes a few times to get the settings right so you'll have to experiment with this yourself as some buns are different from others and some hot dogs are different from others. I cook my hot dogs once, flip them, and then cook them again, this time with buns. works for me

Don't waste your money

Bad Bad Bad I bought this as a gift I don't usually write reviews but I should write about it hoping it will help others not to spend money there. It's beautiful, that's all that's good about it. It doesn't toast the buns, it burns the edges, that is if you can pull them out. They're stuck to part of the bun and you have to rip them apart to get them out. I'm nice, I give it 1 star.

Good for hot dogs, not buns

My husband loved this but in real life we have to run hot dogs through two cycles to get them toasty enough. And we tried toasting the buns in the bun part but they stick to the sides and burn so we don't do THAT anymore. So now we have a giant machine that just cooks hot dogs, and we still have to bake buns in a toaster (which we hoped to get rid of with this purchase). Nice idea, but the reality is not so nice.

Pros
  • Long lasting finish
Cons
  • Flaws

I love the idea behind this product - BUT I'm giving it 1 star because it doesn't work properly and almost set my grandparents house on fire. I bought this two years ago and only found out today that this product appears to have actually broken after catching fire on the THIRD use. My grandparents kept it in the kitchen all the time because they liked it and were hoping to trade it. I'm not sure if this product was just defective, but I would steer clear of it for potential buyers.

It toasts buns, doesn't cook hot dogs

I don't quite understand why this appliance has such a high rating. It looks like $40 of the money I spent went into the design and the remaining $5 went into actual functionality. In short, it doesn't work. This might be the worst way to cook hot dogs. As other customers have pointed out, if you don't flip them, and if we're being honest, the corners of the bun will turn black and the hot dog itself will be undercooked on top. This is a machine designed to make hot dogs, no detours needed…

How are your hot dogs, burnt on one end and cold in the middle?

If you like hot dogs on one side and cold ones in the middle, this might just be what you're looking for! At least the bun matched the hot dog. The buns were charred on the edges that touched and barely baked elsewhere. A solid 5+ for the consistency of all "cooked" dishes. I've tried different settings with the same result. I gave up after three tries. They say that insanity consists in repeating the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Increasing the center cooking…

then you probably won't be too disappointed. It's

Let's face it folks, it doesn't have to be some magic hot dog maker making baseball style sausages for $10. If you don't believe it and think you can serve up magical gourmet food then you might not be too disappointed. After all, it's just a toaster that can hold a hot dog and a bun. That's all. In this respect, one should automatically assume that homemade or baked rolls do not work here. No, you can't put sausage in here, and I don't know why you thought you could. If you focus on the real…
