I've had this rest for a little over a month now and feel qualified to give my full endorsement to this product. The Good:- The handrest is very comfortable. I find that the lift fits fairly well with my Azio Retro Classic Full Keyboard. As the Retro Classic series can be quite tall compared to standard keyboards, I was impressed that it fit the height. I am on my computer for most of the day, and this rest is just as comfortable as a foam rest. I even like the solid feeling a tad better - not sure why.- Aesthetics are fantastic. The wood has a soft-touch semi-gloss finish that takes on a shine when coming into contact with your hands and the natural oils that emanate from it. It has a wonderfully soft, slightly warm, dark color that fits great with my aesthetic.- Cleaning is a breeze. It really is water-resistant and is easily cleaned with a quick swipe from a microfiber cloth. Compared to my old cloth rest, which seemed to accumulate detritus and debris at a break-neck pace, and required washing every week or two, this rest is amazingly low maintenance. The Bad:- It can chip. I dropped a metal business card holder onto it and it chipped and revealed the pale wood underneath. This was quickly remedied by taking a dark marker and filling the hole in (you can barely tell the difference now) but this is definitely a different experience than the bounce foam pads. This is less of a critique and more of a reminder. The ugly:- When I first received the rest I was totally turned off by the logo in a stark blonde color in the corner of the rest. While it was has grown on me - I wonder if etching the pattern and then staining it might be a better aesthetic option? This is a very small and insignificant gripe that does not effect my enjoyment of this product at all. Why not push a fantastic product to become even better?TLDR;This is a very comfortable rest (Yes, even compared to a foam rest) that is sure to compliment your aesthetics and your carpal tunnel. I wouldn't hesitate to make the switch to this low-maintenance, beautiful handrest this very moment. It is worth the investment.
