I'll tell you why this is necessary: ​​the cunning Germans made the drum plates from some kind of cunning plastic, which seems to repel ordinary water. The situation changes when you add a hygiene additive that changes the properties of water and (possibly) plastic. Now the water normally wets the plates (the product itself does not evaporate), and the intensity of evaporation significantly (according to my observations, 4-6 times) increases. I personally add 50 ml every month after a thorough cleaning of the appliance.
