The rubberized silicone feels thick enough to protect the phone from bumps, but doesn't improve the phone's feel in hand. The mute switch is a little tricky to toggle in this case, but the volume buttons and alarm button work very easily with no issues. The corners are reinforced for extra protection, but since the material tapers towards the top, the edges are pretty sharp when you're trying to get the device out of your pocket. After some regular use, the sharp edges seem to have softened a bit, but it was a little frustrating at first with the case scratching the palm of my hand a bit. The transparent version does a great job of highlighting the phone's original case/color.
