I first bought this for a trip to Maine where we could potentially encounter a lot of mites. But yesterday I found a tiny tick on my son who was at the lake the other day. It was as big as a poppy. I knew little about ticks at the time, but after researching it, it turned out it could be a tick in the nymph stage. I read the instructions, used this dustpan, tried it many times from different angles, but the tick didn't go away. I was afraid of breaking the case so I resorted to some random tweezers I had on hand and they worked great. Because of this incident, I would give zero stars here. But I'm leaving 2 because maybe it works better with larger checkboxes.
